Rosa Parks Day- What’s Your Front of the Bus Moment?
Today is Rosa Parks Birthday. We remember Rosa for her moment of personal daring to sit at the front of the bus and be equal. In that moment she re-defined the level of risk she was willing to take for her own beliefs. In her action, she demanded that others see her and her belief. She was equal.
Many lives are characterized by daring moments that transformed a person’s approach to the world. Some of the moments are alone, or witnessed by just a few other people.
There are people that are willing to step into a larger arena, and let their own revelation shine out for others. Rosa Parks did more than just sit in the front of a bus, risking arrest, beating, and death. She also stepped into the arena to share her defining story for the rest of her life, in order inspire others.
It’s incredibly hard to step into the spotlight for the first time. It’s monumental. To make huge changes you have to be willing to go further than just your own personal revelation. To make huge changes, you must let your revelation shine for others, day after day for the rest of your life.
